Want to know the details of volatage output from CCD chip
Can any one tell me about the details of volatage outputs from CC chip,. Particularely iwant to know about the digital data frame from camera .What are the techiques are used to find out the pixel position.hopig reply soon to >> lakshman_chimata@yahoo.co.in]

Here's an interesing page. http://www.analog.com/library/analog...ignal_pro.html
Others on a google search for "CCD output" may also be helpful but are even less understandable to us mortals.
This query would fit better on the Help forum perhaps.

hmmmm, I must not be mortal, cause I uderstand all this  so whats the hard part?
Ok, OK, I took electronics.... so I cheated a little
As for CCD voltages, there are many, many things to consider. Each manufactuerer has their own technology and, ultimately their own voltages. It wil also vary greatly between each model. The 1D power management just plain sucked, the MKII and MKII N last forever compared to the original 1D on a single battery... why? Because they went to completly different technology for no only the CCD to the processors used. The 1D not only powers the CCD, processors, AF, but also the lenses attached to the camera. All those voltages need to work for each seperate function. The CCD uses very little power compared to say the processor or the lens. CMOS CCD's use a lot less poer to operate than non CMOS versions and have less noise as well. Problem is that improper handling of CMOS devices leads to them "popping" internally due to static electricity... they are very sensative! Hold a CMOS chip in your hand and walk across a floor and you can hear it pop. Always be grounded when working with CMOS devices..
