Question Recommendations for online photo labs?

Do any of you have recommendations for online photo labs? I like to upload my photos online and have them mailed to me. My main objective is finding a service that produces great quality prints. Thanks for any input!

Mpix should be giving us some advertising money for all the times their name is brought up here - many of us use them! They off all of the usual services as well as Kodak Metallic paper which looks really great with some shots. Order their (free) sample kit to see what the different papers they offer look like.

I've also used Adorama, although it's been awhile. They did a good job too, but they are a Jewish owned company and closed much of this month for religious holidays (like B&H). A calendar should pop up to show this.

I've used Mpix too and was very pleased however I keep getting "upload failed" messages and have not been able to resolve it successfully over the past few days...very frustrating!!!! They think it may be my system but I've restored since my last order from them and no success. I'd love to use them but I'm running out of patience. Thanks for the reply!

Another vote for Mpix.com. I just wish they had off line ordering software.

I have had great success with Costco. Costco has specific profiles for each store's printer. I recently tested the profile for my store by printing several profiled images at 8x12. The results were excellent and only cost $1.49 each. The 8x12 size does require an in store upload at this time.

Do you have something like Norton's Firewall or Internet Security running on your computer? If so, you may need to disable it for half an hour to do your upload. Also, what browser are you using? (Firefox, Opera, Saffari, Internet Explorer?) Sometimes it can be a browser issue. There is a know issue, and work-around, with Internet Explorer - http://www.mpix.com/Customer/Uploading/UploadSpeed.htm

I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you are comfortable making changes to the registry.

Firefox uses a different upload protocol, and I've never had a problem with it, files upload fairly quickly.

Thanks. I've tried the registry change with no success. I find it odd because two months I did a very large upload with no trouble. I haven't made any changes to my firewall or security programs either. I'll dig deeper. Thanks!

    I second MPIX wholeheartedly.

I use them all the time for large 20x30 inch prints. If their smaller prints are even close to the quality of their enlargements, then they're spectacular.

Yes. MPIX- Sorry, guess I wasn't concise in my post I've had many prints from 5x7 up to 20x30 inches, and they've all been exceptional from MPIX (I have them printed on metallic paper which might be why they seem so incredible). I mistakenly ordered a print on e-paper, and it was still quite good, but not like the metallic paper. The difference is like Fuji supergloss versus Cibachrome (now Ilfochrome).
