Tiny Dot
I have a really small dot up in the left corner of my viewfinder. It doesn't come out in pictures, but it's pretty annoying when looking in. I've checked the lens, wiped both ends with a microfiber cloth, and i've checked the mirror behind the lens and it didn't have anything on it so I didn't touch it. What else should I look for?

Re: Tiny Dot
Maybe it is on your focusing screen....the bottom part of your prism.
Look through the veiwfinder WITHOUT a lens to narrow down the location.
Careful when cleaning in that area.

A little dust in the viewfinder isn't going to hurt anything but it can be annoying. I wouldn't touch anything inside the mirror box but you might try blowing it out with a blower bulb (not compressed air). I use a Giottos Rocket Air blower and it's taken care of that problem for me in the past. Reflex mirrors are easily scratched, so be careful around it. I agree about the focusing screen; that's a common place for dust to hide.

Well microfiber cloths are made for things like this. These are made for single sunglass lens up to $500 :) I've used it on my laser lens which is way more sensitive to ANYTHING than a lot of the materials i've ever used. Im going to go buy a new one today so it's fresh and doesn't have anything on it and go over very lightly the mirror and the crystal above.
