www.smugmug.com is one, but I know that there are others.

Others here can tell you what they are and what advantages each one has.

    Good luck.

What are each of your experiences with these sites? Ease, reliability, payment? What do you think of them?

If you Google 'Equine Picture Agencies', plenty of opportunities arrise.

    'The Equine Directory' is International.

I'm a member of Auscape International Picture Agency and have been for a long time. Being in Australia is terrific, many International agencies come to Auscape looking for shots. If you can deal through a picture agency the dollars are very good when you make a sale, mostly sales to publications but publishers request specific images.

If you write articles as well as supply the photograph, your work can be more saleable and can give a better return through picture agencies.

I'm a member of the deviantART site for artists. I joined earlier this month. http://wildwassa.deviantart.com. You might find that the ways to sell your work on this site suit you, if you don't like doing the paper work and what artist does? Collating orders, getting the printing done and fee collecting is really boring. Anyone wanting work, orders directly through deviantART. deviantArt will even frame the images.

This chap, Denis Oliver is set up most tidily on deviantART, http://denisolivier.deviantart.com You will see that his print fees are very sturdy. If you hunt around the site by clicking on nanes and images, I think you will enjoy your time. I don't sell my photos on deviantART, that is why Denis Oliver's Gallery is a good one to look at firstly.

There are picture agencies using the deviantART site to show the work of their photographers.

You are able to use deviantART as your web contact and web address and you can set up your gallery and journal and home page with your advertizing to suit your needs.

    The possibilities are endless.

    Warren.
