    Stupid D70 Question

So, I just bought a D70, and I am having a stupid yet irritating problem.
In the image comment section, I was entering a comment, and made a mistake. I cannot figure out how to delete a character! I have tried everything! I thought the delete button would do this!
I have even tried reseting the camera!
    Any ideas???

Not to sound like a wiseguy, but check the owner's manual....pg 163. Look under "Image comment". It will tell you what you need to know.

You should be able to download a copy in pdf format from the Nikon site. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe you can. I'll try to give you the short version:

    1. go to menu
    2. highlight IMAGE COMMENT....press multi-selector to the right.
    3. press multi-selector up/down to highlight an option, then press to the right to make a selection
    Option description
Done Save Comment and return to setup menu
INPUT COMMENT Edit comment (I think this is what you are looking for)
ATTACH COMMENT attach comment to all new photos

in the INPUT Comment option move the cursor to the letter you want to delete and press the trash can button, then press enter to return to the image comment menu

    Hope this helps

One of life's little annoyances. As long as the rest of the camera works, I'd forget about it. Still---those little things have a way of gnawing at you sometimes.

    Re: Stupid D70 Question

Arite, this confusion made me decide to pick up my D70 and try to figure this out as well, and after a few minutes I was able to! To delete a charachter, you need to hold down the ISO button (under the Menu button) and while holding it, rotate the Main command dial, which is the rear one. One you do that and the letter you want to delete his highlighted, release the ISO button, go ahead and hit the trash button. That will delete the charachter.
