    Sport type lenses
I got the Nikon N75 as my introductory camera and I am getting a good feel for it. I would like a lense with more zoom and the ability to take good sport shots for my high school. could someone help me with this: What too look for? And any ideas? thank you

Depends on your budget and how big of a lens you want to carry around. A good option would be the 70-300 f4-f5.6. It's a pretty nice lens, compact, lightweight and inexpensive (~$350). Since it's f5.6 at the long end, you'll probably need to use 400 or 800 speed film to get the shutter speeds you'll need.

For a lot more money (~$1500) plus the size and weight to carry around, the 70-200 f2.8 VR lens would be something you'd see pro sports photographers use. It only goes to 200, but you could add a 1.4x teleconverter on it and still have f4 over the whole zoom range (1.4x teleconverters lose one stop of light; 2x lose two). It also has VR (vibration reduction) which will help keep your shots sharp while handholding. Keep in mind that VR doesn't help things that move (like someone running), only movement from camera shake.
