Question How Can I get this effect???

Hello photo pros! I need some help trying to figure out how i can get this sort of effect of my pictures. (the photo is kind of grainy due to saving it off the web. THe dreamy effect is what i like) Is this effect from a lens or filter? Or from a photo editing software? Any tips and suggestions would be great. Ps, i have a sony cybershot dcs-h1 if anyone has any tips on using this camera. Thanks in advance~!!!

Hi BettyO. I'm no Photoshop expert, but I have had a similar result if I go to filters and use the Diffuse Glow option. I think that they may have played up the blues and greens a bit as well, or it could be completely untouched! It does look really inviting,eh?

check atncentral.com for photoshop actions that will give you that glow, or do a search here for "orton effect."

All I know is that, it hurts my eyes. But upping the saturation and using one of the many blur filters will give you that look.
