    Sandisk Ultra memory card question
I'm looking to purchase the SanDisk 8GB SDHC (No 4) memory card for the E-PL1. However, since I've read that cards should be either 6 or above for video and this card is a 4, I'm wondering if I can use it. I think I did read somewhere here (can't find the thread) that some 4 cards can be used. So I hope someone will give me the correct information.

So far I haven't done any videos, but I don't want to get any more cards that can't be used for video.

Costco is having a sale - 2 for $39.99 ($15 off). Here is the link.

I found a class 6 card just fast enough, and have gone out and bought four class 10 (30M/s) cards so that if Angie ever gets a pace car ride again, I can get better video.

Thanks Paul. I'm happy I didn't pick it up. I do have to get one - when they are on sale or special.

Liz, I just bought two 8gig class 10 Sandisk cards and they are offering rebates on them. I bought two cards at $69.95 each and received a $40.00 rebate making the end result $49.95 each. All class 10 cards are NOT equal, from what I have read they have to meet a certain requirement to be a class 10 and the Sandisk comes in on the faster end of the window to qualify, Jeff

Thanks Jeff. Wow! That's great news - I'll check it out today. Actually all my cards are Sandisk simply because I never have a problem with them - and everyone seems to like them.

Just remember the higher the resolution the faster the memory card has to be. The 4:3 Broad cast standard is 480 x 640 at 30 frames per second and 720P is only needs 300 % more band width but 1080p needs 675% all keeping the same frame rate of 30 frames per second. So speed is the name of the game with HD video.
    Resolution TV 300K, 720p 920K and 1080p 2073K.
