ride camera
Any idea what kind of set up amusement parks use to take picture during the ride for people to view and buy afterwards? Some sort of digital camera with a wireless receiver I assume.

Well, digital of course, and since it would almost be a studio type set-up I'd probably get something with manual controls. Also something that could fire remote flash units too - maybe set up a couple to make it look good. Not sure how you'd shoot it - some kind of sensor that trips the camera when the roller coaster goes by would be more consistent than trying to do it manually. It would also have to be tethered to a computer so you wouldn't have to pull the card out of it to get the shots!
Camera resolution wouldn't really matter too much, how big are those prints? 8x10 max? You'd probably wind up with a DSLR to get the features though. Any more specifics?
