    Removing an 8mm movie lens

My Rollei Movie 6 camera that has some dirt or marks on an inner lens somewhere, but I can't figure out how to release the lens to clean it. Is there a way to release the lens, or were these movie cameras designed to have their lenses permanently mounted?

I am not specifically familiar with the model you list.

Many of the 8mm cameras (and 16mm too) had a screw mount lens or the front element(s) screwed in to the camera body. That is if they were removable at all. No release, just turn counter clockwise. Gently but firmly of course.

Can you post a photo of the camera as it may be similar to another camera that someone recognizes??

The only added information I have is that there is a release pin (pressed with a long thin object) on some models to release the linkage for the aperture. Beyond that I don't have any concrete info. These were also known/sold/labeled as Bauer in some areas I have been told.

Let's hope someone has a manual!!

Most home movie cameras did not use the C mount (small screw mount).
