    Reflectors stands?
I ordered a reflector today, and I was wondering if the only way to use them is if you have an assistant? I know there are stands, but are those a waste of time?

It depends. If I'm on location I have an assistant hold them for me. I don't do much "in the studio" work but the few times I have a reflector holder was nice.

Lightweight, sturdy for what they are designed for and cheap.

A nice counter weight and they will hold a strobe and softbox. A couple of ankle weights from Wal-mart and they will stay put well outdoors in a breeze.

If you want something bigger and stronger then look at Manfrotto stands and boom arms. They are quite a bit more expensive however. All depends on your needs.
