    question about focusing
    hi everyone,
i know when you want to have a subject focused, and it's off center, you lock the focus. but what if there are two people sitting or standing far apart from one another and you want both people to be in focus...how do you get both subjects focused? thanks. :)

If they are the same distance from the camera, focus on one , re frame picture and shoot. Anything in the picture at that same distance from the camera will be in focus no matter how far apart they are.

    Re: question about focusing
Are you familiar with "depth of field"? The higher the aperture f-stop, the more depth of field you will have. Like it was said, if they're the same distance from the camera it's not so big of a deal. But if they're not, you may need more depth of field for them both to be in focus.

FWIW, some shots are more interesting when one person is in focus and others are not. Depends on the shot, I guess...
