    problems with Samsung A502
My company gave me a Samsung Digimax A502 camera a few months ago and i have yet to get pics as clear as my 1 megapixel Pentax EI-100..The pics come out kinda fuzzy or looking like i'm taking pics in a haze and just lack the sharpness i would expect from a 5 megapixel camera,i have tried every setting i can think of but as i am not a big technophile there may be settings i am unaware of.the lens looks to be covered with a blue coating that for some reason appears to have many scratch marks on it which is unusual as i have never cleaned it with anything that i havent used on all my other cameras with no ill results and i'm wondering if that blue coating on the lens might be a protective plastic that needs to be removed before use but if it is it sure doesnt want to come off..so at this point my opinions of this camera are not high and i'm about to give it back to the company saying that it is defective...Any info would be appreciated....Jim.

Is this problem so rare that i've left all the camera guru's speechless?Or is the camera so rare that no one has heard of it?

First of all, you posted your question in the wrong forum. There's a Digital Cameras Forum that exists specifically for problems like yours. You are much more likely to get a timely reply there...

Second of all, you just posted this yesterday, for Pete's sake. You think someone just sits around watching this forum screen all day waiting to jump in an answer any and all questions the moment they're posted?

Sometimes it takes several days for someone who actually knows soemthing about what you're posting to read it and respond. Take a look at all the threads in these help forums. Some have been up for a long time and only have one or two responses. Some never get any replies simply because we don't always know the answer.

That's the nature of the web. It's not a conspiracy...

Sarcasm just makes it less likely someone will want to help you in the future... :incazzato:

    Oh btw, welcome... :D

Thanks for the imput Asylum Steve,as a newb to this forum i assumed posting in the help section of general photography seemed the most likely place to go.
A lot of other forums i visit some people i swear do sit around all day waiting to put in thier $0.02,you know the type=joined the forum a year ago and aready have 10,000 posts.
Sorry for the sarcasm, guess i should have added a wink,i'll behave in the future:)
It will probably take a few weeks to get the new camera so i'll drop back to see what the concensus is on the new one..
