problems with camera recording pictures

I have a konica/minolta dimage x20, whenever I take pictures with it now, it has alot of distortion

(the last picture there was one I took a long time ago, and is how a typical picture from that camera should look)
you can make out what the pictures are, but there are lines of distortion all over the image.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the source of the problem was, and whether or not I need to send it to konica/minolta for repair or whether i can do something simple to fix it straight out. Thanks.

Seems like the camera needs to be fixed.
