    Printing digital images
I have a question im sure you can answer for me.

MB1 kinda raised this question for me as he said about one of my pictures: Print it large and put it on the wall.

    My question is:
What is in your opinion the best method to do this since there are 3000 ways advertised on the internet.

The goal is to get as much detail as possible on a fairly large format (60x90?).

Hope you can help me with this.

    Thanks in advance

There are several places that can print at that size. The main thing is to make sure that they resample the image at 300 ppi instead of simply enlarging it.

Thanks for that tip dhyravy. I'll keep that in mind.

However im still wondering and what surface it should be printed. There is canvas, glass, aluminium on glass on canvas.....Endless possibilities.

Any ideas on whats best to choose?

What you have it printed on depends on the environment it's going to hanged in. You also have to frame the print in most cases and that adds to the total cost. The cost of the framing could be more than the cost of the print!

One thing I do when printing large ( to me 8x10 is large :) I print a small sample , if i like the colors and it is not dark then I print it large , otherwise adjust it a bit, retest

I do not use any fancy printing facility just the corner camera shop with a print kiosk, I take my images in JPG, with sRGB color scheme and it works good enough

I'm sure there are better ways to ensure that what you see in the screen is what will be printed ...
