    Pricing a 1DmkII

I'm trying to sell my Canon 1DMkII with 5324 acuations on it. Condition 9+.

What price should I be asking for it?

    100, to me.

    just kidding. well, kind of.

looks like around 3000 is what some have been selling for.

edit: just kidding, that's the N model. I knew it seemed a little high... about 2000, give or take a couple hundred.

With that small amount of use, you should be able $2000 easily. Perhaps more. That is basically a new camera.

It's pretty easy to do an ebay search for similar camera bodies. If you're a registered member, you can even search completed auctions to find out what the winning bids were for the same model.

Whether you want to sell it there or not, at least it gives you a decent idea of what the current demand is...

I wouldn't let that influence me to much, I had a bad experience.

I was very relieved to buy my 1DSmkII from Canon's ebay site with only 6000 shots on the image counter.
Because within 3 months it needed a replacement shutter
The 1 year Canon warranty was very useful.

I did search ebay for a few weeks but only found "buy it nows" from store that sold the body with a "kit" for $2500.

I figured I'd ask around here to see what others had seen recently. Thanks!

Why are you trying to sell your 1DMkII? Mine hit 20k actuations last Christmas, and I still love it. Haven't used it much since my Samsung NV10 p&s is now my concealed carry weapon, but I'll be happy to buy your 1DmkII for $1000 :-) kidding of course, it's worth a lot more than the going price on ebay just because it is still a very worthy and excellent camera for its age, and stacks up quite well against the current generation of DSLR's.
