Polarising filter - has come apart!

Hi was using my new polarising filter and it has come apart!

The black ring has come off that holds the lens and there is a thin wire looking that I can't work out where it fits.

I have been on the hoya website - but there are no instructions on using a circular polarising filter.

I bought it in australia and am now living in the UK.

Please HELP!

They're not designed to come apart so I don't think it'll be too easy to get it back together. Try contacting Hoya, here in the 'States they're pretty helpful.

Hi, the same thing happened to a UV filter i had, Hoya couldnt help as i had had it a few months, i managed to get the wire back in but i was reluctant to use it incase it damaged the thread to the lense, so it went in the bin!:mad:

The wire is the keeper, it keeps the filter in place. As long as the threads that screw on the lense and the filter just poped out, any photo repair shop should be able to fix it.
