    Hi there.. new guy from NJ. question on buying my first DSLR

    was looking at a D5100 been looking for a package deal.. was thinking that would be the most bang for the buck. from what i have read.. d5100 is a pretty good camera for a beginner.. any thoughts post up thanks mike

    If you have a Film SLR and some lenses you should look and see if there is a model in that Manufactures line which will fill your need and reuse your lenses. Other wise most of the entry level cameras are about the same now days, but for the menu layout. You should goto some stores and handle each camera your thinking about purchasing before buying.
