    Please help me
    Hi guys, I would just like to say hi i am new to this forum and would love some help from people that know about cameras.I am a noob. I have just found a camera that my grandfather had it has never been used and is still in it box, it is a
    -Leitz Minolta CL (made in Japan) purchased new around 1972/3 and never been used. With owners manual
    -Lens 90 mm F4 Minolta M Rokker Lens
    -Lens 40 mm Minolta M Rokker les
    could any one tell me
    1. if this is any good
    2. what the current value of something like this would bring
    3. would it be worth while using it or keeping as a bit of a collectorsa item.

    I don't know any details on this camera, but I did a quick Ebay search and found what appears to be your exact set-up with a $499 bid on it. If you weren't in Sydney, I'd think this was your auction:

    Looks pretty nice. I think I'd keep it, unless I needed the money. You should take some pictures and post them for us. :)

    (1973-75) Under the manufacturing agreement with Leica, Minolta was allowed to sell the new CL -- in Japan -- as the Leitz Minolta CL. It was the same exact camera but came supplied with a Rokkor lens and sold at a substantial savings.
