    Candids

My wife recently volunteered me to take candids at her upcoming 30th h.s. class reunion.

    I have a pentax K7 with kit lenses. (My fixed 50mm 1.4 won't autofocus on the K7.)

I also have a AF-360 FGZ hotshoe flash.

Since I won't have a chance to reshoot, what are some tips to get quality photos that are fun to view later?

For pictures of people unaware of a camera, stay as far away as you can and still get zoomed in flash coverage. Helps if your flash head follows the zoom info on the lens.

For pictures of people smiling at the camera, widen the shot and zoom out. Again, stay within flash coverage so you don't lose the outside areas.

    Batteries batteries batteries.
