Can you buy a Tripod Screw Top?

Where can I buy the top of the tripod, that screws into the camera? Can I get that at a local camera store or is something that I need to special order? Also, Is that a generic size top or do I need to match up the tripod model with the top?

It's a Titan QT 11-950. Any help would be appreciated. thanks...

Hi and welcome. I don't know that tripod but a lot of them have 3/8"-16 thread on the legs for attaching the head; and 1/4"-20 thread that connects the head to the camera. This one may be different, so best bet is to stop in a camera store and check. Quite a few manufacturers do follow this standard, including Bogen/Manfrotto and Gitzo.

Its called a tripod head and there are zillions of choices to be made.
You will need to do some research to find out which one suits your needs.
Basically there are ball joint heads and 3 way pan heads. Some prefer one and others prefer the other.

Even if you have lost the screw or quick release plate for the tripod head, there are available though local camera stores or online vendors. You do need to know the maker of the head of the tripod to get the correct part.
