Noise problems

I have an olympus evolt e300 which gives me considrable noise at 100 iso with noise reduction on when doing timed exposures. especially in low light conditions. is there angything i can do to fix this? firmware update? etc? cleaning even?

With the low-light situations make sure you are using a proper exposure. Underexposure is one of the culprits of noise. FW update can't hurt. Cleaning won't do anything for noise.
