    enlarger

    would anyone know how to build an enlarger (and lens requirements)
    to take tranparencies of size <= 6" x 6"
    lens required to give a min image projected size of 1:1
    max image size unimportant
    transparency would be illuminated by led
    hoping this question makes sense

    The easiest way is to get a used 5 by 7 or 8 by 10 inch enlarger which will give you a 7 x 7 or 10 by 10 inch active area.

    The lenses needed to make a 6 by 6 inch correctly lighted area cost $$$$ and you just may have to make them yourself. The enlarging lens is cheap, and you will have to find or make bellows to go between the negative carrier and the lens. Just look at any enlarger and scale it up.
