Nikon D70 and SB-22 not shooting
I bought a D70 a few days ago from a local shop and when I hooked up an older Nikon Speed Light nothing happened. The camera wouldn't shoot with it hooked up and the flash icon on the camera body was flashing. Any ideas? I know it's not the Speed Light because we hooked it up to a Nikon 6006 and it shot everytime. Do I need to alter a setting on the d70? Thanks, Travis

The D70 will only shoot with the SB22 in Auto non TTL mode (i.e the flash does the metering) or Manual mode.

The D70 supports iTTL flash mode, which is available with the SB800 and SB600 flashguns only. If you try to use any earlier flash in TTL mode the D70 refuses to fire.

This is explained in the "Optional flash" section at the end of my (French) D70 user guide.
