Nikon D40 wont turn on after syncing with Mac. HELP!!

So i just got a Nikon D40. Has been working great. Last night i connected via USB to Mac and uploaded photos. I left the camera connected to Mac for a couple hours as i got distracted. When i came back, the screen on camera was just black, instead of showing that it was connected. So i exited iPhoto and disconnected camera. Did i do something wrong? Camera wont even power on WTF???

Try recharging the camera battery (i.e. remove the battery and put it in the charger device then put the battery back in the camera when the indicator says it's charged.). If you left it for a couple of hours with the screen turned on you may just have run down the battery.

cool, thanks. that's what i am doing right now. at first, i thought the batter was fully charged but appears that it is dead so hopefully that is the only issue. will update after charging.
