    New Photographer, First Flash.
Hi, i just got into photography about a month ago, and i bought a Honeywell Pentax, EsII, which ive been enjoying a ton. Ive been wanting to begin taking pictures inside places now also(various stores, concerts, etc.) I've seen TONS of different flashes, and need to know which ones correctly fit my camera, or are good for a beginner: In conclusion im a noobie searching for advice =) Thanks for any help.

Welcome. Just a comment, I usually prefer to shoot concerts without a flash and using fast film (ISO 800 or faster). I do have to use flash sometimes as a last resort - like last Friday night, but not too often. Personal choice though.

If you don't mind getting a fairly large and heavy flash, look at a Vivitar 283. It's a classic that's been made for about 25 years or so, and was "standard issue" for many wedding photographers. That means it's powerful, accurate and dependable! It has an Auto mode that doesn't need any camera automation to work (most flashes will have this). If you want something smaller, look at some of their others - you won't need a Dedicated flash for your camera, that just interfaces to Nikon, Canon, etc automation.
