New to forum and question.
Hello everyone, I hope I can find some answeres here.
Basically, what I'm looking for is this:
A program that allows my camera to connect to the computer and use the monitor/screen as the viewfinder for taking a photo.
This program needs to run on a Mac too.
Is there anything out there that offers this? I'm forced to use a small Canon Powershot S3IS and it's difficult to see the images under low light.
Re: New to forum and question.
Hi and welcome. Never seen anything like this but I did try for awhile to see if it could be done with my older Nikon Coolpix 5000. The answer - at least at the time - was no, but maybe someone will have an idea. As a new convert, I'll need it for Mac too. :)
Re: New to forum and question.
i don't think there is a program that will display a realtime viewfinder view, at least not any widely know one. There may be a freeware program though. check download.com. I shoot tethered sometimes, but that is a little different...

well, here's a starting point for the search: http://www.policeone.com/police-prod...eleases/86399/
OK, so this one's designed for law enforcement and jail administration. Stiil, you would think it would be adapted to civilian use somewhere.
