    Mamiya RZ67 flash help!

    hey!!

I bought a Mamiya RZ67 a while ago but have been really slack with using it and have got a bit rusty with my photography knowledge!

so can anyone recommend the right flash/bracket I need to get?
and also a good brand of hand held light meter, either manual or digital?
oh and also somewhere to get them...either new or 2nd hand!
that would be a great help thanks!

    Re: Mamiya RZ67 flash help!

Hi and welcome to the site. What kind of things do you want to shoot with the RZ and flash? I can't recommend a specific bracket, but you could do a lot worse than a Vivitar 283 flash. I think they stopped making them but it's only been a few years ago - they came out in the early 80's I believe. This was a standard for wedding and event photographers for many years. They're very accurate given the latitude of neg film, but you'd need to be a bit more careful with slide film if that's what you're using. In other words, you wouldn't use a flash meter with something like this. KEH and Midwest Photo are good sources of used gear outside of ebay and craig's list.
