    Need runway tips
I am shooting a fashion show this weekend and need some advice. I recently got a Nikon D-50 and am just getting the hang of it, and was just gonna set it to a high shutterspeed, about 400 ISO, and a shallow DOF. Should I just put it on shutter priority? Any kind of advice would be appreciated.

If the light is going to remain the same, then you can set your camera on manual, do an early test, and just leave your exposure the same through the whole show. That's what I'd do.

If the light is going to be changing and you don't want to try to change with it, then shutter priority would be your best bet. Just keep an eye on the aperture while you're shooting so you have an idea of what kind of depth-of-field you're working with. Remember, a longer lens will deliver shallower depth-of-field. So if you have something like a 70-200mm lens, use that, if it works with the space.

Thanks John, I ended up using S-priority most of the time and it ended up pretty good. Hopefully I'll get a chance to post some shots later today. Thanks again.
