    Need help selling pictures online

I did a search and read the replies that were posted in the past on this subject. I am interested in starting a website with the ability to have customers be able to place orders and be shipped their prints with me getting a check for the orders placed. What sites do you recommend and what things do I need to look out for either pro or con. Any information that you have to offer will be greatly appreciated. I need to be educated so I can move forward on this project, Jeff

Some of the most used (that I've heard of) are Smugmug & Exposure Manager.

Personally I use Exposure Manager and I haven't used Smugmug so I won't talk about them. With EM I'm able to customize my galleries color, layout, headers/footers, etc. I can have multiple pricelists and can apply them to different galleries. I currently have a pricelist for portraits, one for sports, etc. There is also a ton of other stuff they can do as well.

When I first started, I looked for a place with
    - great service both for me & my customers
    - customizing prices, layouts, ease of use, etc
    - quality products & fast turn around times.

Check out Zenfolio, they are partnered with Mpix. Customers can order any sized picture framed or not and you set the price. I love them. I just wish I wasn't so lazy setting it up.

I used so many different sites and Smug Mug is by far the best pro/ consumer site... Its easy to set up galleries and pricing. They offer everything... Truly a great site and I think I pay $100 a year for the Pro setup with unlimited photos & galleries. Its worth a shot to check out.
