Minolta A2 outdated software with ACT100
I just bought an ACT100 teleconverter and ACW100 wide angle lens for a Minolta A2. CD software coming with both is outdated version 1.0 and version 1.1 is required. Ritzcamera.com and KonicaMinolta.com keep referring me to each other and no one helps. Anyone out there with some advice? :(

    yup.... RETURN THEM!!!!!

    minolta's USA site is GARBAGE

and it seems that both customer services are too :)

but please explain why a TC/WIDE ANGLE would need software????

    it's got NO electronics right?

No electronics in the lens, true.
But I notice on my wife's Minolta Z1 there is a "lens accessory" option on the menu.

So I am guessing it does somethign clever with the programming of the manual focussing ring.
It might even be reprogrammed to keep objects in focus while zooming because of the different optics.

You can download the later A2 software via the links in the Digital Photography Review website. Go to www.dpreview.com and find Forums/ Konica-Minolta. In the replies there, you will find links to download (for free), the later A2 software, which speeds up the cameras response times, particularly when using RAW format. The ACT100 and ACW100 software adds an option to the camera menu, so that it can recognise when you attach the adaptors. Also on that site, are links to download the non-original, but very effective Dimage Control software, allowing complete control over the camera from a laptop or PC.

If anyone has knowledge of where either adaptor is available in the UK,
