Importing files with custom EXIF data?

Is there a way to import your photos and have a program automatically enter certain EXIF data for you? I know I can do a whole folder at a time once I have them downloaded, but is there a way to skip this step? For example, I would want my name and contact info in all my photos. It would be nice if when I put my card in to download the images if that info could somehow self populate into the EXIF data.

I use Zoombrowser EX to download my photos, but I don't know if there is a way to add this into until after they are on my computer and in a folder.

I know that with Lightroom I can set all that up upon importing photos from the CF card. I always have my name and contact info installed into the metadata as it imports. I'm sure Aperture offers that as well.

I kind of figured LR would do it, but I'm not using it yet. Perhaps sometime down the road I will make the move, but for now, it's just not in the budget. I wonder if there is a way I could import my files and add that info using Bridge. I will have to do some searching.
