Cheap Enlargers

Does anyone know where I can find a cheap, possibly used, enlarger? Any suggestions would be good.

Ebay. Because of digital many schools and people are dumping not only enlargers but entire darkrooms. I prefer a dichoic or color enlarger where you can dial in the different contrast grades. They tend to be slightly more money than condenser enlargers. Anyway on ebay you can pick up Omega B-22 enlargers a reliable and sturdy condenser enlarger for well under $100. Figure about another $25-30 or so for shipping. There are also other kinds. I paid $150 for my Saunders/LPL enlarger (color for B&W) and probably overpaid. If you don't have any darkroom equipment look to pick up an entire setup. You'll save a lot of money that way. The lens is probably the most important item. You can pick up excellent 50/2.8 6 element lenses for around $50. My one single most important piece of advice whether buying locally or on ebay is to be patient.
