It's driving me mad!!!!! olympus sp-320 sound
if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I have recently purchased the Olympus SP-320 and have taken tons of pictures. However....

When I take video, there is no sound on playback. When I upload the images to my computer, the video plays but with no sound! I have checked the sound on my computer and that is fine so I guess it is something on my camera that needs setting sound wise?

If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it!

If anyone has an answer can they please e-mail it to andrealknapp@hotmail.com as I'm away from this computer alot and will be checking my e-mails from out and about......

    It's driving me mad! :)

I don't know if it applies to the SP-320, but I do know that some cameras have video mode without sound, so you may be out of luck...

The SP-320 does record sound. It's probably turned off. The option to turn it back on is under the Mode menu.

Open the menu, go to the mode menu, and scroll down until you find an icon of a microphone. Select it, and turn it on there.

The insturctions for movies are on pp.47-49 of the advanced manual. It's probably on one of the CDs that came with your camera. You cna also download a copy form Olympus.

Have you checked your PC movie player, is the sound working with other video clips? And also make sure that the mic is turned on in the camera. Look in the camera's manual and make sure you have the version of quicktime it needs.
