Issues with an Olympus 300 Digital sliding lens cover

    Hey!

I recently purchased a used Olympus 300 digital, which is a really neat camera, but I'm having trouble with the lens cover. All it takes is the slightest touch to make it shut off and retract the lens. Sometimes even just squeezing the camera right will do it. It's extremely aggrevating. Any ideas?

Re: Issues with an Olympus 300 Digital sliding lens cover

Sounds like the camera is defective. I've had my Stylus 300 for 2 years, mine isn't that sensitive. By the way, the lens is sharp as a tack on the Stylus 300 and 400. both are simple cameras no bells and whistles, I've downloaded to Adaramapix and have some great 11x14 enlargements. That's what it is a true Point & Shoot.
