Insurance for camera? (unsure where to post this)

I just bought a Casio digicam. It's under $300, but I love it and wonder if any has heard of Mack or knows any company that is reliable that insures for accident, theft, damage, etc.?

I have never purchased a Mach warranty, but have heard good things about them. They sound very reputable.

I have all my camera gear insured through my home owners insurance. It's pretty inexpensive. I think I pay around $10 for every $1000 worth of gear/year.

You might check with your home owner's or renter's insurance provider - you may already be covered against at least theft. I don't know much of anything about Mack but a lot of reputable places offer it.

According to their website, their policy must be purchased within 30 days of the equipment purchase. Also - "The contract does not cover products which have been misused, tampered with, modified or damaged as a result of accident, liquid, grit, impact, lack of proper care as indicated in the manual of operation by the manufacturer."

Thank you all. I'm sure we have a big deductible, so homeowner's sounds like a great idea, but probably won't work for me. I appreciate hearing that Mack sounds ok.

I'm pretty sure that there is no deductable on my camera equipment. It's covered under my homeowners, but listed separate on the policy.
