If your talking about IR Photography, no, in fact it already HAS an IR filter, but it's designed to filter out IR not allow it in.
When people talk about cleaning their sensor it's really NOT the sensor they are cleaning, but the IR filter.
There are a couple companies that will alter (change) the IR filter to one that will allow IR Photography. They however i beleive only do this with specific Canon & Nikon bodies. There are some drawbacks though:
1: it voids the manufactuer's warranty
    2: It's expensive
3: it's pretty much only good for IR & B&W photography after the change

Thanks for the reply. I am a ghost hunter by hobby and I was looking to try different filters to get different effects. Any suggestions?

Try Googleing : IR Digital Cameras, you'll get 3,900,000 results to check out. I'm sure one or more will help you out. I'm not into IR photography but thought about it, till I found out how much it costs to get a body re-filtered..
I think it was around $1000.
