    Hands free, wireless, still photography..help

I want to build a hands free, wireless, helmet mounted digital camera for still photos. Auto focus, or no focus to save battery power would work. I'd like to be able to push a button on the handlebar to actually snap the the photo. 2 battery packs would be ok, as I could charge one off the bikes charging system as I rode.
    Interested in ideas and feasability!!

are you actually looking to put a camera together, or just create such a system?
another member did something sort of like this, but he was just triggering a camera on a tripod. maybe you can get some ideas from that, though.

I use Minolta A1 and A2 cameras for car racing.
They're cheap enough to be disposable, and accept a remote release.
I'm using them either wired, or in automatic self-timer repeat mode.
It should be possible to make a wireless remote release for them.

I looked at the GoPro range, but they have no remote shutter release.
Sure you could open up the case and solder wires across the shutter switch.
But would you buy a new camera to do that to ?
