How do I change the image size on a Canon?

Hi guys and guyesses,
I'm new in town so if I do something wrong it is not on purpose to annoy the regulars. Just tell me where I went wrong, slap my legs and I promise not to do it again.

OK, my problem is that my Canon Powershot A700 is set to give images that are way, way, to big for my needs. I have tried everywhere on the menus that I can find but there is nothing jumping out at me saying, "Use this to reduce captured image size to 640 x 480". I can find where to change the quality of the picture as in Normal, fine, superfine etc but nowhere for the actual size.

Does anybody out there have any clues to offer?

Hi Clicker,
Excellent. I now have 640 x 480.
The thing is, I have the manual that looks just like that in hard copy but page 31 doesn't show the "Approximate values". It just has the L, M1, M2, S icons.
Anyway, all sorted now.

If you look on the Canon site, there is a 'basic' manual and an 'advanced' manual. Maybe that's the difference. The one I linked is the advanced so you can download the whole thing and have it. - TF
