    Horizontal Lines when viewing

On Saturday I took some photos. When checking them to see if the flash was too much [it was daytime], I saw horizontal lines across each of the ones I'd taken that day. Checking previous photos on the card, there were no stripes on them!
My camera is a Pentax Optio 330GS purchased in 2002.
When I got home I put in another card and took a photo but the stripes were still there.
    Any ideas?

maybe post some photos so we can help to diagnose the problem? It's tough to tell exactly what these stripes are without seeing them.

Do the strips appear: both on the computer monitor and camera's viewing screen or only on the camera's viewing screen?

As if they appear on your monitor and camera's screen, you have a damaged camera which will need the image sensor replaced. Hopefully is under warranty if that is the case, if not buy new camera!

If the strips appear only on the camera's view screen it's a bad connection. If it's under warranty send it in, but it's a simple fix for the camera repair person.
