Flash Durations?
I have been trying to find the flash durations of the following flashes at different power divisions...
Sunpak 555
Sunpak 544
Vivtar 285 (is there an original 285 AND a 285 HV?)
Thanks for the help!

Re: Flash Durations?
I know there was an older Vivitar 285 before the 285HV but other than that...
Not sure if even the owner's manuals would answer those questions. Generally, the more power the unit has, the faster the duration will be with a given light output. Smaller flashes would have to work harder to put out the same amount of light, etc. This may not always be true though.

I know most of these have faster durations at 1/2 and 1/4 power but I'm trying to determine exactly what flash duration at what division (for shooting action sports, ie: skateboarding). I've also found that many powerful flashes are just that; powerful but slow (relative to my needs). I own the Lumedyne Actionpak 400 which is 1/1500sec which is great, I just need some fast fill flashes with super fast durations and I'm trying to figure out my best options.
