Fireworks Suggestions? :)

I plan on shooting some fireworks in Washington DC this fourth. Any suggestions? I don't just want to shoot the explosions but want to get a good backdrop and/or foreground too (fireworks by themselves lose their appeal after awhile).

I plan on making it down to near the reflecting pool on the Mall.
