    Filters - question?
I have been using SLR film cameras for years, but have not done too much with them for a few years (long story). I have moved into the digital SLR world and my old EF lenses will fit my new digital Rebel XT. The question I have is - do filters age? I have UV filters for all my older EF lenses and was wondering as I try them out in the new digital world, whether or not I need to buy new ones? Thanks in advance for any insight anyone can provide.:)

I would clean them up with microfiber cloth and lens cleaner. Then try them out. I doubt they would change with age.

OTOH - I don't use UV filters or any filters for lens protection, so you might want to consider that option too - just be careful with the lens......if you use a hood, you won't have any problem either. I don't always use a hood, but am very careful with my equipment.
