Hey I Know Alot Of You Guys Are Great Photographers Here So I Was Wondering If You Could Tell Me A Decent Polarized Filter.Im No Pro Or Anything I Just Like Taking Pictures I'm Only 16 And My Cameras Nothing Special Panasonic Dmc Fz-20. But I Was Wondering A Moderatly Priced Filter That Wont Compromise Quality Of My Leica Lense. I think It's 72mm. If Any One Can Get Back To Me Id Appreciate It.

With digital, the only filter you really can't replicate in Photoshop is a polarizing filter. I'd buy a good one though because they're more "neutral" in color and can give you more polarization than less expensive ones. Multi-coated filters reduce flare as well. Hoya HMC series is a pretty good one for the money.

What do you consider "moderatly priced"? I did a quick search @ B&H and they have 72mm circular polarizers starting at about $50 and going up to over $400. A multi coated filter will help reduce glare. This is the cheapest multi coated cp that I saw.

I think B+W, Singe-Ray, Hoya, Tiffen, and Heliopan all make very nice filters, but you get what you pay for.

its not mulit coated but its a hoya tell me if you think it will decrease my quality or if i should just spend the 120

Guess they've gone up a bit in price. I think I bought my 77mm for about $100 on ebay, but that was two years ago. Yeah, I'd still recommend a coated filter if you can afford it. At least it's not like shooting slide film where you needed to carry a pile of filters with you!

I got a Hoya and Tiffen, I think I like the Hoya better but not by much. I wish now I had gotten a more expensive one. As they say, You get what you pay for. Mine does good but could be better.....
