    Excellent article on lenses, apertures, and DOF...

    can be found in the latest issue of American Photo. Also in the magazine is a tribute to the great photog, Helmut Newton.

    You're right

    Read it yesterday. Interesting photos by Helmut; some I had not seen before. Not his iconic work but a different sides. Definitely worth reading the lens section.

    What a conicidence, I read that today in a book on User Interface design, in full it's "Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" which gives it a whole new meaning!
    Never heard of Emerson before, being from the other side of the pond...

    Never heard of Emerson? He is in the class of Henry David Thoreau. Good stuff.
