Ok, so the software is a no-brainer. The tripod head is not so much. The Bogen is fine for the equipment I have now...trying to decide if I should just go ahead and upgrade to the Gitzo. I do forsee longer lenses in my future. What would you do?

Which brings me to monitors. What is the entrance fee for a pro-sumer grade graphic quality LCD? The Trinitron is still working, it just needs a little time to warm up.
