Epson P2000 digital viewer
As a new member I haven't scrolled through the countless threads yet, but was curious if anyone has experience with these Epson viewers (P2000/4000). It would appear to be a quick fix to downloading shots on-site.
thanks

Re: Epson P2000 digital viewer
Never seen one up close myself, but I've heard good things about them. They sound like a good backup (although I probably wouldn't trust it as my only copy) and an easy way to show off your work. Haven't heard much here about them, not sure if anyone's got one.
Re: Epson P2000 digital viewer
I guess what I was thinking was to be able to shoot a game/match and have an easy way to show parents the shots. Then while still at the venue, accept orders. The big downside is the lack of post-processing. Would my $399 be better spent on developing a website to which I could upload photos after the game?
If the consensus is to go that way, I will check the web build link in this forum...but, again, as a new guy, I'm still learning this stuff.
Thanks

Re: Epson P2000 digital viewer
For a use like that, I'd say a bigger display would be much better. For not much more, you could get an entry level laptop with a much larger screen (maybe suggestive selling for bigger prints that way? :) )
A ~$600 laptop would get the job done, but editing images would be fairly slow. Might not be a bad idea to upgrade the RAM to 1gb and make sure it has a CD burner for photo use - if budget allows.
