Elements 5 problems!

Hi there,
I have started to shoot in raw now on my Nikon D70s, after a few reads of practical photography. I understand the editing but what keeps gettin me is that im not allowed to save my picture as a jpeg or any other format which sites, software accepts and Tiffs seem too big. Below i have a print screen of it.. Can anyone help??

Your images are in 16-bit color. You need to convert them to 8-bit color to save them as JPEGs.
