Question Cokin A vs Cokin P

Can you explain the dif. between the Cokin A series and the P series filters to me? My main concern is this. If I have a P series filter holder, will A sereis filters fit in it, or will I need a special adaptor of some sort? Or if I have an A series filter holder, with P series filters fit in it or will I need an adaptor for that? Is there a size dif. between the A and P filters?

I have checked the Cokin website, but I didn't see any filter size info...
Any help you can give me would be greatly appriciated.

Far as I know, A-series filters don't work at all with P-series and vice-versa. A-series are smaller and can only be used up to certain filter ring sizes. P-series are the way to go...
