    CCD sensor cleaning?

    i have a dirty ccd sensor its like fine spit got in it and needs to be wiped off. i know its not reccomended you touch the ccd sensor. could i even go in with a small q tip or something? whats the best for me not to eff up my cam.

    Its' most likely on the IR filter. Lock up the mirror and use a lint free cloth mostesned with lense cleaner. it should not drip just damp. use a qtip to move the lint free cloth on the IR filter, to remove the whatever on the IR filter. I once had a horse hair inside the camera infront of the ir filter.
